It's my understanding issues #28 and #128 were the only full cover appearances featuring The Simpsons throughout Wizard's nearly twenty year (July 1991―Jan. 2011) 235 issue print run. Issue #28 has a foldout cover but #128 does not.

It's my understanding issue #40 was the only full cover appearance featuring the Violator throughout Wizard's nearly twenty year (July 1991―Jan. 2011) 235 issue print run. Wizard #29 (Jan. '94) partially shows the Violator on the front cover. The reader must unfold the cover to see his entire body.

It's my understanding this issue contained a postcard mailer inside the original polybag sealed packaging that was needed to order a copy of Wizard Ace Edition: Witchblade #9 which is a Witchblade #1 reprint featuring an acetate cover. Here is my personal copy that I submitted to CGC for grading. It was dry cleaned only. No heat press was used as I didn't want to risk damaging the cover.

This is a special one-shot collector's magazine. It was created to celebrate Jim Lee's artistic influence within the world of comics. By the mid-1990s he had become one of the most successful and recognizable artists in the industry. Unlike a regular monthly issue of Wizard, this edition is devoted almost entirely to his career and artwork. It was produced during the height of the 1990s comic boom, when Lee's work on X-Men, the founding of Image Comics, and the success of WildStorm Productions were expanding.

It's my understanding issue #90 marked the only time Sara Pezzini (Witchblade) and Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) were featured together on the cover of Wizard magazine throughout their nearly twenty year (July 1991―Jan. 2011) 235 issue print run. They appeared on multiple covers individually, before and after, but not together. This was a marketing strategy used to promote the Witchblade/Tomb Raider #1/2 comic book. My copy has the original offer mailer still attached. I also have the Turner variant cover comic pictured.

It's my understanding that issue #96 was the only full cover appearance featuring Pokémon throughout Wizard's nearly twenty year (July 1991―Jan. 2011) 235 issue print run. This was during the early wave of "Poke' Fever" in America. For whatever reason, Wizard didn't feel the need to feature Pokémon again and played it safe by rotating between various Marvel and DC characters. Looking back, that was wild thinking! As a company Wizard's marketing strategies were often flawed. This would ultimately lead to their downfall. That's why it's the only magazine I care to buy. It makes achieving nostalgic goals easy without overspending. I have the included Guide to Pokémon mini comic book too!

WIZARD #127: 10th Anniversary Issue - Green Goblin Cover 1 of 3 (April 2002)

The 10th anniversary issue had three cover variants. None of which featured foldout covers. I'm surprised considering such a milestone issue. Foldout covers were common throughout the 90s but once Wizard stepped away from the polybag packaging in the early 2000s eliminating bonus collectible items―foldout covers became increasingly rare. As mentioned, Wizard's marketing strategy was flawed.

It's my understanding this issue marked the first and only time Stan Lee was "Simpsonized" for Wizard Magazine. Issues #28 and #128 were the only full cover appearances featuring The Simpsons throughout Wizard's nearly twenty year (July 1991―Jan. 2011) 235 issue print run. This issue does not have a foldout cover but #28 did.

Issue #148 features Superman (drawn by Jim Lee) with Supergirl (drawn by Michael Turner) and included a multi-page preview of the upcoming Superman/Batman #8 comic. The series had been ongoing but Turner would step in to pencil the cover and interior pages of the remaining issues #8―13 (Vol. 2). I have several raw copies from the series and a Hardcover Version that came from Robin William's estate sale in California. At least, that's where the seller told me he got it from.
